Gustaf Kocken made great use of his invite from the Mediterranean Tour with a finish inside the Top 20 at the Prague European Challenge Tour Event. With a pair of 69s on Thursday and Friday, Gustaf safely made the cut. With an even par round on the moving day followed by a sublime 65 in the final round, gave him a total of 13 Under par for the tournament. Although the winning score was a sensational 24 under par, Gustaf left the tournament happy. “A 65 in the final round is a great finish to any tournament, although the 72 in the third round did hamper my chances of contending, the 65 in the final round made up for it, and with that a top 20 finish in my fist challenge tour event of the season, there a lot of positives and momentum to take away from this opportunity. A big thanks to those that support me and help make these opportunities happen”

Another MedTour invitee Luke Johnson, made the cut for the weekend with great rounds of 69 and 67 in the first two days, but a disappointing weekend by his standards left him off the pace, “not what I wanted for the weekend, but again the opportunity to tee it up with such a strong field, has made me really focus on my goals for the rest of the season”

Some great results and experiences for Mediterranean Tour players in 2017. The Tour looks forward to providing even more opportunities for players going forward. “This is exactly what the Tour is designed to do, provide, playing opportunities to talented professional golfers. We are proud of the achievements of our Top 5 This season and of some other players who have used the Mediterranean Winter series to sharpen their skills for what are very competitive seasons”, said Mohammed Attallah Mediterranean Tour Director
