Christopher Sahlström continued his great season on the Mediterranean Tour with a three shot win over Antonio Costa from Chile at the Dreamland Pro Classic 2018, the fifth event on the Mediterranean Tour Winter Series 2018.Sahlstrom shot rounds of 68, 66 and a final round 72 for a Ten Under Par total on a tricky Dreamland Golf Course. The wind was strong for the final two rounds, but the scoring from the chasing pack was excellent, with Antonio Costa chasing hard to reduce Sahlström’ sizable overnight lead.Sahlström took a 6 shot lead into the final round, but hiccups at the 8th and 10th meant he was only two shots ahead with eight holes to play. However, he regained his composure to finish 10 Under par, where he had started the day and this was enough for his second victory on the Mediterranean Tour to go along with his win at the Katameya Dunes Championship in March. With the win Sahlström is the Order Of Merit champion elect, and takes a an unsurpassable lead into the Tour Final @ Allegria from 9th – 11th April. The race for the remaining positions in the Order of Merit could not be closer, and it looks like it will be an exciting race to get into the top 9 in the order of merit come Wednesday afternoon when the Mediterranean Tour Winter Series 2018 comes to its conclusion.
